Hide & Seek @ IRCTC website

Other day i tried to quick book my rail tickets on IRCTC website….. It was no less than finding a hidden check box, I share my journey from finding the the link to quick book. Hope you will enjoy the same:

1. Help menu explains how to quick book the tickets, in image is highlighted the process which says to check the quick box and also highlighted is area near login box where quick book check box can be found out

2. I went to home page, desperately looking for the quick book check box near login boxes …. however check box is nowhere to be found out !! where did they hide it !!

3. Finally after some effort i could find the link to quick book … it appears in services after you have logged in … and not where IRCTC site explains in help menu !!

4. BTW, this is the page that appears most frequently!! They simply love this one

May somebody from IRCTC will see this and get the things in order… Amen!!

Are you aware of any such inconsistencies in any websites around?

It would have been ok, if it was only upto ” Service Unavailable” stage But the worse is still ahead. I tried to book e-ticket three times for a particular segment The IRCTC site took me till last stage, even payment made from ICICI direct debit window, , payment confirmed, The last page comes is “”" We regret to mention that your ticket could not be completed due to one of the following reasons” 1) communication failures 2) more than 60 days ) blah blah blah…….

Consumers are really Ass ! thats what atleast Lallu thinks, that is why surplus 25000 crores. It is nice to be Indians .Goodluck to Indians .
