TATA INDICOM is spoiling the name of entire TATA GROUP!!! hence i am cc’ing this mail to as many Tata group company ids as i cud get hold of…

I plan to use spray paint and write on the roads around Tata Indicom delhi office, saying “Tata Indicom SUCKS”… I would ideally like it to be covered by media via helicopters but i guess all this is just a pipe dream…. untill then… i can at least spread the message in general interest of humanity and goodness!!!!

I have had such a horrendous experience with Tata indicom that I have stopped payment of a 6.5grands cheque for a broadband connection that i was about to purchase.

I purchased your wireless internet device (USB modem) a couple of weeks ago and part of the relevant communication is attached below. The marketing team was very prompt. The person came over to my office, accepted whatever papers I gave him, took cash and gave me the device on the same day of the call. My net got activated the very next day! So far so good. Unfortunately, I lost my device within a couple of days, and I didn’t have the 10-digit number saved. This is where you people began to harass me. i called at least 20 different people over 2 days and no one was able to do ANYTHING… everyone just kept pushing me to the automated helpline where i need to 10 digit number to enter, or some different number. each time i explain that i have lost my device and the sim, your people either dont understand or dont comprehend. YOU HAVE IMBECILES WORKING ON YOUR HELPDESK. now i’ll tell you why…
one of the delhi customer support person told me that someone will call me the next day and give me the details…i call back the next day post noon because noone had called back and the same lady, very promptly takes my customer application number and gives back a 10 digit number!!! WHY CUD SHE NOT DO IT ONE DAY BEFORE!?!?!?… and then THAT number is WRONG!!…
so i call back… and she gets all worried and tells me that she will sort it out within an hour… after 3 long hours.. i am given another number…
and now YOUR people tell me that i have to VISIT YOUR OFFICE to deactivate the sim and get a new device!!!

WHY?!?!…. when you want to sell the device you come begging on your stomach and take the money..

then i get the good news that my sim has been deactivated already because of negative address verification… NOW!… this is interesting… your verification person had called me after i purchased the device and I was out of delhi…so i tell him that do the verification when i am back… he calls me the day i am back and says he will come over within an hour.. i was in office!!.. and noone is home!…. i request him to come after office hours so that address can be verified when i am home… HE REFUSES!!!! I mean WTF!! and then he gives a negative address verification!!!

coming back to the lost device…I decide that i will rather purchase a new device than go to your office and do all the unnecessary paperwork… SO NOW your people say that it will take 3 days to get everything going… whtever…
your person comes again (same guy)takes the papers from me… which are in fact more detailed this time… and takes the money… CASH..

my device is not activated for 3 days… and on 4th day (yesterday) your person calls me saying that the papers are not OK…1!!!!! WHY?!?!…. your freakin company accepted the same papers last time>!!>>,,,,?!?!,,, now what???,,, he says that the company address is NOT mentioned on the paper!??!?!…. MMMMOOOORRROOONNNNN…. its a COMPANY LETTERHEAD … a company letterhead has the OFFICIAL REGISTERED address of the company in the header or footer!!!…. what the HECK is your problem… he doesn’t accept (Name INDER – 09891937167) i ask him for his senior’s number and he gives me the helpline number which is “SWITCHED OFF” since 15th august… FREEEDDOMM I SAYYY FREEDOM…. then i call him back and then he gives me his seniors’ number and he has the same issue… blindheaded people (name.. some jeet – 9990046823)

another issue they have is that the name and designation of the authorised signatory is not written!!!…. THE SAME LETTERHEAD WITH SAME SIGNATURE AND SAME OFFICE STAMP WAS ACCEPTED JUST TWO WEEKS AGO!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!… then why not now?!?!?!… What stupid processes are these?!?!? i request both these people over 2 hours that PLEASE activate my device as i have office work to finish and i’ll give them whtever papers they want the next day… i told them they cud talk to the authorized signatory… but NO BLOODY HELP!!1…. i told them that THEIR person has visited my office twice and done the address verification on office address!!!!… still…. no one budges… SARKARI BABUS ARE BETTER THAN TATA INDICOM…

this senior promises to me that he will call me today first thing in the morning and sort it out and someone will come to office to take revised papers… its 4pm NOW… noone has called… and my device is still inactive…

i had ordered a tata indicom broadband recently and had given the cheque of 6500 which i have now cancelled… i am taking airtel broadband…

    I am also a sufferer with similar histoy of problems with tata indicom phone connections.I was having four tata indicom mobile connections besides a landline connection with me..But the kind of problems these people (customer care) created really makes me say that thay are good for nothing and need to be managed and handled well.
    Out of these four connections due to some reason i had put a request in year 2007 somewhere around August probably to get my 2 connections blocked. This process was delayed endlessly with me receiving tata bills for the numbers been put on disconnection request and no longer in use.Fed up with the cutomer supports endless delays on it being done, i wrote a mail to nodal officer and somehow with lots of hussles and truobles i got my disconnections done and rentals adjusted(there too i was cheated) as the amount was not fully adjusted).Anyhow continuing with two connections, now in year 2008…one fine day one of these connections gets automatically barred for all services with no request being done.After complaining the customer care people about the same, i was promised that it was done by mistake and my services would be reverted within some hours.But that didnot happen and i on talking to customer care people again next day, the process was told to be happening and my services for the phone be restored in few hours.Again when that didnot take place in the desired time frame that they promised, i had to talk to the cutomer care cell which tells me now that i request pending for cancellation put in August ,2007 had been processed now….must say they are quite timely and to be clear enough , i had never raised a request on this number to be disconnected.It was probably a request on one of the two numbers which i was using earlier that had been put for disconnection in 2007, which was taken up now and that too on a different number on which the request had never been raised..must say awful people with useless brains trying to fool people.

    what else, i am in process of getting my both numbers disconnected and look up for a better connection

    @ Hemant …Hope you can find a better connection …. coz i had my share of interesting stories with MTNL, BSNL, Reliance. Have heard couple of my friends cribbing about other operators …. They all are same … may be coz of ever increasing consumer base …

    Our people will not learn. I was one of them. I was warned by many not to go for a TATA INDICOM connection. I went ahead, trusting the TATA brand name. In my entire life, I never had such a horrible experience with any service provider.

    FOLKS, IF YOU ARE NOT PARTICULAR THAT YOU WILL LEARN ONLY FROM YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, NEVER EVER DEAL WITH TATA INDICOM. YOU CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WORSE!!!

    I am also sick of them, i am being harrased for 1 yrs too, with absolutely nothing. They r demanding the payement of a phone which i havent bought.

    Tata Indicome Connection is worst connection. There is no timely service & always out of order. I advice not to take that connection.

    I do the lots of Complaint but not satisfactory responce.

    this is true , when they are cancelling lines, they send me a bill after 7 months after my cancellation, how stupid they are , Airtel is better

    Can some one send this BLOG to Ratan JI’s email, he would probably be able to screw up the guys down line to see that they dont tarnish the trust ppl have in TATA brand

    I am from Bangalore.
    I am also suffering by taking a TATA wimax connection. They are not able to disbale the scrap login page which comes every time when i want to connect to the internet.
    Every time i call them, i get the following standard answer….

    1. “Sir, the system is not responding, system is under upgradation. Please call us after some time.”

    They dont even tell me what is that “after some time” is it 20 mins, or 1 hr or 1 day I dont know.

    2. “Sir, our NMS team is very busy in other calls. Please call tomorrow”
    But i forced him to connect me to NMS team by explaining him about story of sorrow.”

    he higher level officials of the company need to look into the matter and see if the complaints are resolved properly and within time and the service is not spoiling the company’s image in people.

    This is for the last Person asking for advice::
    1: I complained about mine connection on 21st may
    2: On 23 i got a Verbal Threat from the Local person belonging to the Tata Indicom Backend team
    3: I was mailed by the Customer team mentioning how to disconnect the connection and asking for the money which i am suppose to pay for the next entire month
    4:They defended their backend person rather rectifying
    mine Problem

    Your Choice Buddy, and yes i am an employee of the World’s no-1 telecommunication company

    Hi everyone..
    i am from Noida.. when i bought a tata phone ..the connection was so bad i was not able to hear a word from other sides.. I donot live in a jungle,i live in a populated area.. And the cal centre people said it wil take time>> I waited for 2months but no change.. I hate Tata.. Go away.. Goodbye>>
